Judith Baumeister Obituary

Judy Baumeister, 78, of Kinderhook, NY, entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edgar and Emma Siegling of Glendale, NY. She was the beloved wife of Robert Baumeister for 54 years.
Judy is survived by her children, Rob (Lauren) Baumeister, John (Karen) Baumeister, and Amie (Reid) Caster; and by her cherished grandchildren, Connor and Megan Baumeister, and Chase Caster - who were truly the light of her life. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Powell, of Colonie NY.
Affectionately known to so many as "Miss Judy," she spent years nurturing and guiding young minds as a teacher at Kinderhook/St. Paul's Nursery School. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy will be remembered not only as a loving mother, aunt, and grandmother, but also as a dear friend and the nicest, most genuine person one could ever meet. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at Raymond E. Bond Funeral home in Valatie, NY on Wednesday, November 5th from 4-6pm. Funeral to follow on Thursday at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valatie Rescue Squad.
