Judy was born March 6, 1955, in Dumas, T,X to Virgil and Jean Stinnett. Judy enjoyed the beach and lived in the Coastal Bend area for many years.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Jean Stinnett; her brother, Danny Stinnett; two sons, Michael and Anthony Velo; and partner, Joe Carpenter.
She is survived by her brother, Wendell Stinnett of Azle, TX; her sister, Linda Henry of Pittsburg, TX; her son, Sean Velo of Corpus Christi, TX; her daughter, Rachel Gregory of Leander, TX; and two granddaughters, Sophia and Emerson Gregory of Leander, TX.
Judy was artistic and crafty. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, creating trinkets, interior decorating, and bedazzling everything she could. Judy delighted in singing, especially gospel music. She loved talking to others and telling stories, as if she had never met a stranger. Judy enjoyed Tex-Mex food and was an excellent cook.
Judy was gentle and kind. She is missed by many. Praise the Lord that she is now completely healed and whole in the presence of Jesus.
In lieu of formal funeral services, family and friends are encouraged to celebrate Judy’s life in ways that are meaningful to them.
