Judy Kay McGee, 77 of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024 at her home. She was born in Harlan, Iowa to the late Russell William Buttry and Glendora Marie Tigerstrom Buttry. Mrs. McGee moved back to Lake City in 2019 having previously been a resident of Nebo, North Carolina for 15 years. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry McGee; and her brother, Richard Buttry.
Survivors include her children, Jack McGee, Lake City, Judy Gaskins (Tommy), Lake City, Jamie Capps (Jermey), Calhoun, TN, Jill Milton (Martin), Lake City and Joseph Anderson, Lake City; two sisters, Cheryl Carr and Rita Dane both of Lake Forest, CA; eleven grandchildren, Scott, Summer, Ashley, Anthony, Mark Ryan, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Cyrie, Brittany, Chloe and Seth; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McGee will be conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Tyre officiating. Interment will follow.
