Karen Hawkins Obituary

Karen was a devoted girl scout eventually becoming a scout leader. Karen was passionate about volunteering for girl scouts and helping the girls to succeed with their progression through the program. She accompanied a group of girls to London, England in celebration of a large girl scout event. Karen had a powerful gift in her voice and she loved to sing. She joined the Trinity Lutheran Jr Choir at the young age of 4 because her brothers and sisters were in the choir. Mrs. Fisher told her she could join since she was just sitting around waiting for them to finish all the time. Karen was ecstatic. She was the youngest member of the choir. She continued within the Trinity Sr. Choir until she moved away. Karen also enjoyed playing softball for the women's Trinity team along with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Donald R. Hawkins; her father, Herbert R. Kramer; her mother, Dorothy M. (Wenhold) Kramer; her brother, W. Dennis Kramer.
She is survived by her son, Shanon E. Kramer who resides in North Myrtle Beach, SC; her sister, Donna M. Heist (Arthur R. Heist) who resides in Quakertown, PA; her brother, Keith E. Kramer, who resides in North Myrtle Beach, SC; her sister, Lori A. Gaumond (Al Gaumond) who resides in North Myrtle Beach, SC; her nephew, Raymond W. Wilkinson, Jr. (Holly M. Wilkinson) who resides in Quakertown, PA; her niece, April M. Justice who resides in Quakertown, PA; her niece, Brittney Krehel (Lake Krehel) who resides in Elizabeth City, NC; her nephew, Brandon J. Gaumond who resides in North Myrtle Beach, SC, her granddaughter, Miakayla N. Kramer who resides in Quakertown, PA; her granddaughter, Sascha R. Kramer who resides in North Myrtle Beach, SC and many great nieces and nephews.
