Karen E. Ross, 53, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Karen was born on September 27, 1971 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to Larry and Shirley (Ogram) Neal.
She was a 1989 graduate of Liberty High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at Youngstown State University.
Karen was a caseworker for Trumbull County Job and Family Services.
She was a member of Girard United Methodist Church.
Karen enjoyed going on vacations, especially to Cancun. She had a fond love for all animals and she was an excellent cook.
Karen leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Larry and Shirley Neal; brother, Brian (Jennifer) Neal; niece, Hannah Neal; and her long time friend and companion for 15 years, Randy Ross.
Private services will be held for the family.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, material contributions should be made to Angels for Animals or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, in Karen's honor.
She will be laid to rest at Niles City Cemetery.
