Karen Marie Wesson, a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, December 30, 2024, in Arlington, Texas.
She was born March 2, 1957, to the late Jimmy Day, and the late Shirley Jeanne Lynn.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many. She was along time resident of Grand Prairie and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She had a passion for watching old movies and was an avid fan of the TV show Yellowstone. Her family meant the world to her, and she had a special bond with her grandchildren. Karen loved spending time with her loved ones and was known for her delicious home-cooked meals.
In her earlier years, Karen and her husband loved to explore the great outdoors in their camper, creating shared memories through their many camping adventures. These experiences brought her great happiness and filled her life with joy.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson Liam.
She is survived by her husband, David Wesson; son JT Gresham and wife Kati; son, Colin Gresham; daughter, Amy Chambers and husband Coy; grandchildren, Aly and Haley; great grandson (on the way) Arvin; brother, Terry Brooks; sister, Lori Day; sister, Tracy Taylor and husband Gary; mother-in-law, Evelyn Mansholt; Numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January, 7, 2025 at 10am -11am, in the chapel of Guerrero Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main St. Grand Prairie, Texas 75050. Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11am. Burial will take place at Southland Memorial Park at the conclusion of the service. Pastor Dennis King will be officiating.
Arrangements entrusted to Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home under the direction of Aaron King, Funeral Director.
