Karin R. Oakes, age 82 of Guys Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Meadville on August 24, 1942, a daughter of Frank and Anita (Hollabaugh) Williams.
Karin was a 1960 graduate of Randolph-East Mead High School and on January 20, 1962, she married Richard A. (Dick) Oakes of 55 years, he passed away May 21, 2017.
Karin dedicated her life to her family and served her church for decades.
She is survived by her three sons, Keith Oakes and his wife Cheri, Todd Oakes and his wife Patty and Gregory Oakes and his wife Elizabeth; two daughters, Tracy McMillan and her husband Doug, and Cheryl Ervin and her husband Patrick, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick, brother Francis Williams, and two sisters Suzanne Morian and Sherry Lutterbeck.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. ARRANGMENTS HAVE BEEN ENTRUSTED TO ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, P.O. Box 26, Guys Mills, PA 16327, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
