With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Katelynn Shelby, a beloved daughter, sister, family member, friend, and member of the community. Katelynn entered this world on March 21, 2005, and in her brief time with us, she left an indelible mark on those who were blessed to know her.
Known for her infectious laughter and unwavering spirit, Katelynn was a ray of sunshine in the lives of many. She had a deep love for children and dedicated much of her time to helping and caring for them. Her involvement in the youth choir and various community service projects showcased her kind and selfless nature.
A talented athlete, Katelynn excelled in volleyball, basketball, and softball, achieving two championship wins that filled her heart with pride. She never shied away from lending a helping hand, whether it was through painting houses for the elderly or participating in church activities.
Katelynn's love for life was evident in everything she did, from her energetic participation in school events to her joyous celebrations at Sky Ranch. Her vibrant personality and compassionate soul touched the hearts of all who crossed her path.
While Katelynn may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought into the world.
Katelynn is survived by many loving family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas on Monday June 24, 2024 from 5 to 7 in the evening. There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday June 25, 2024 with interment at Rosedale Cemetery starting at 9 am and service to follow at Treasure Church in White Oak, Texas at 11 in the morning.
