Funeral Service for Kathy "Cissy" White, 73, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Lake Traverse District Center, Sisseton, SD with CRE Gerald Heminger Jr. officiating. Lunch will be served at 1:00 P.M. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Pall bearers will be Chris Feather, Justin Bagola Jr., Shiloh Rodlund, Michael Roden, Wayne Heminger, and Thurston Owen. Honorary Pall bearers will be Lorraine Rousseau, Carole Quinn, Jackie Lowe, Sharyn Renville, Margaret Yellowback, Annie Felix, Missy Roden, Keisha Small, Victoria Guffin, Jeremy Lowe, Lynette Santiago, Coteau ER Nurses, Chris IHS Pharmacy, and All Cissy's Family and Friends. There will be an all-night wake service on Thursday, January 30, 2025, starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Lake Traverse District Center. Interment will be at the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Kathy was born on April 10, 1951, to Clifton Feather Sr. and Theresa Joyce Feather (Atkinson). Kathy grew up in the Big Coulee area and attended her younger years of education at the Day School in Big Coulee, Wilmot, and Fargo. The family then moved to San Francisco, C.A. and then Boise, Idaho before moving back to the Sisseton area. Kathy's first marriage was to Paul Bagola from the Crow Creek Tribe in Fort Thompson, SD. From this union Ramsey, Mario, Paula and Laura were born. After the death of her first husband, Kathy found love and her soulmate Joe White. They were united in marriage on March 15, 1980, by their Pastor Lynette Woodbeck at the Dakota Gospel Church. Kathy worked at the Browns Valley Nursing Home for 5 years and then at Tekakwitha Nursing Home for 18 years. Kathy got her AA degree in nursing from the SWCC. She then worked and loved her job at Healthy Start where she worked for 25 years until her retirement. Kathy passed away on January 26, 2025, at Coteau Des Prairie Hospital, Sisseton, SD.
Kathy is survived by her children Mario Bagola (Celeste) of Polson, Montana, Paula Dillon (Wes) of Sisseton, SD and Laura Small of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings Clifton Feather Jr., Patty Feather and Lawrence "Yogi" Feather; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by both her husbands Paul Bagola and Joe White; her parents Clifton Feather Sr. and Joyce Feather; siblings Sylvia Feather, Winfred "Buddy" Feather; grandson Julian Oliger; son Ramsey Bagola; and infant granddaughter Bonita Bagola.
