Kathryn Bacon Harville, age 91, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born May 6, 1933. She was a former member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Jefferson County. Kathryn began attending Montvue Baptist Church in 1955. She was faithful to the church for 6 years before joining the church in 1961. She was baptized on Easter Sunday night.
She taught the children's Sunday School class for several years, was the director of Vacation Bible School for 17 years, and was church clerk for 17 years and she loved her church family and was very active in her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Esco Harville; son, Mark Harville; parents, Minnis and Chlora Bacon; sisters, Mildred Hughes, Virginia Webb, and Mary Wice; brother, Harry Bacon.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Betty) Harville; grandson, Matthew (Sheana) Harville of Mt. Juliet; granddaughter, Megan Harville of Nashville; great-grandchildren, Bella, Isaiah, Isaac, and Jude Harville; special sister-in-law, Shirley Harville; along with several nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Katy.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Montvue Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Kenny Cole and Rev. Leroy Davis officiating. Graveside/interment service will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
