Kenley Dolliver Obituary

Kenley Stafford Dolliver, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 4th, 2025 in the town he loved - Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Kenley fell in love with Idaho as a young boy after travelling many times to visit his grandparents who lived on Black Rock Bay on Lake Coeur d' Alene.
Kenley was born in San Angelo, Texas on November 30, 1962. In his youth, Kenley engaged in football and baseball, spent time at the family farm in Christoval, sang in school choir, and learned to play multiple instruments, including piano, guitar, and bass guitar. The latter skill resulted in one of the joys of his life, which was being a part of the local band Texas Gold, which ultimately led to bookings all across the state and opening for major country music stars. Kenley's nieces and nephews fondly remember him sharing his love of music with the next generation by playing classic rock records and strumming a Dobro guitar at family gatherings.
Kenley graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985, and shortly thereafter became the owner of Kent Elliott Roofing Company, which he operated in San Angelo for over 20 years. After selling his roofing business, Kenley moved "to the lake" where he remained for the rest of his life. At the lake, Kenley found joy in water skiing, air chair, and jet ski along with volunteering at community events like the Ironman race.
Surviving Kenley are his parents, Roger Murray Dolliver and Martha Kenley Dolliver; his sister, Elise Dolliver Whyte (Scott); his brother John Dolliver (Leslie); nephews Harrison (Brittany), Cameron (Nicole), and Davis Whyte, and David Dolliver; and nieces Anna and Martha Dolliver, and Charlotte Whyte. Kenley also leaves behind numerous extended relatives, friends, business associates, and kindred spirits.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 8th, at First Methodist Church in San Angelo, Texas at 2pm, followed by a reception in Celebration Hall at the Church. His ashes will be interred in the family plot at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo. An additional celebration will be held later this summer in Idaho for his northern friends and family where a portion of his remains will be spread in his beloved Lake Coeur 'd Alene.
