Kenneth Edward Traweek Obituary

Traweek, Kenneth Edward, age 95, of Birmingham, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 7, 2024. Ken was born in Birmingham on May 16, 1929 and graduated from Woodlawn High School. He attended Howard College before serving in the Army during the Korean War. Afterwards, he returned home and worked for a local architectural firm, then became a registered architect. There are local and statewide examples of his architectural work. Ken was always an avid reader, commuted on his bicycle before that was popular, introduced the game of tennis to all of his children and mastered photography for work and pleasure. He was a founding member of Faith Chapel of Huffman and more recently an active member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent. He taught a weekly Bible study for many years, right up to his passing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His memorial service will be held at Briarwood Presbyterian Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 2:00.
