MILLS, Kenneth, age 72, of Miamisburg and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
Kenneth honorably served in the United States Air Force. He worked for more than 25 years for the Army Corp of Engineers. He also worked as an electrician, performing side work for his brother's electric company.
Caring, loving, and helpful, Kenneth was family oriented and a great supporter of his wife, children, and grandchildren. He preferred being outdoors and greatly enjoyed fishing, especially from his boat on a member's only pay lake in Carlisle. He was fond of NASCAR and always looked forward to watching the races. He also enjoyed cooking, with spicy foods being his specialty. Summertime was his favorite time of the year so that he could be outdoors and get the family together for cookouts. Of course, the family will never forget the tradition of gathering for the Christmas holiday festivities at Kenneth's house. Among many things, he will be remembered for his elaborate hat collection, of which he rarely left the house without one on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lot and Myrtle Mills; one brother, Larry Mills; and one sister, Linda Cabbage. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Melissa; five children, Kenny (Britney) Mills, Joe Mills, Jarrod Mills, Markes (Amber) Cornett, and Christina (Shawn) Martin; 13 grandchildren, Bryson, Zander, T.J., Landen, Joshua, Hunter, Catherine, Brooklyn, Savannah, Carter, Kori, Liam, and Amelia; great-grandson, Asher; and one brother, Asa Mills.
Private services. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
