Graveside Services for Kennith Glen Woods, 77, of Fairview, Oklahoma, will be held 11:00 AM., Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Fairview Cemetery. Paster Brian Frable will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Kennith Glen Woods was called home by his Heavenly Father on January 14, 2025. He was born in Enid, Oklahoma on December 19, 1947 to Raymond Willard Woods and Ruby Leota (Riley) Woods. He grew up in Fairview, Oklahoma. He was Vice President of the FHS class of 1966. He graduated from Southwestern State College (now Southwestern Oklahoma State University) in 1970 with a degree in Industrial Arts and a minor is social studies. He taught school in Winfield and Portage de Sioux Missouri.
On August 19, 1967 he was united in marriage to Vicki (Corbett) Woods at the First Christian Church in Woodward, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born: Amanda, Andrew, Randal and Jeffery.
Kenny was master of all things! He with his brothers Ray and Donald patented the Ken-Ray Bale Chariot. He opened Ken's Electronics being an outstanding electronic repairman and later he became a Radio Shack Dealer. He worked for Coast to Coast and Cornelsen Elementary School. In 2006 He and Vicki began From the Woods making BBQ sauce and their famous BBQ pickles which are still talked about today. Sadly in 2019 he was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. In 2023 he was admitted to the Fairview Fellowship Home where he received excellent care.
He is survived by his loving wife Vicki of 57 years. Amanda and her husband Brian Frable of Kona Hawaii. Andrew and Rachel of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Randal and Melissa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeff and Marie of Moore, Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren: Joshua and Brylee Frable of Enid, Oklahoma, Jon Mark Frable and fiancé Katie of Phoenix, Arizona. Josiah, Jessica, Johannah and Jedidiah Frable of Kona, Hawaii, Corbett of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Ayva of Sayre, Oklahoma, Maya of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Brody and Isaac of Moore, Oklahoma. His brother Ray and wife Norma of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma, his brother Donald and his wife Jackie of Fairview Oklahoma, his sister Margaret Castleberry of Enid, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Linda of Phoenix, Arizona, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Rita Barnett Woodward, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruby, his mother-in-law and father-in-law George and Geraldine Corbett and his brother Robert.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Christian Church, CWF of the Central Christian Church or the Fairview Fellowship Home, with the Fairview Funeral Home serving as custodian of the Funds.
