Kevin Paulling Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin Matthew Paulling, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, who departed this life too soon after a 2-year battle with cancer. A proud third-generation native of Leesburg, Florida, Kevin was born on November 23,1969, and left a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure that will resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kevin's zest for life was evident in everything he did. His love for the water was a defining aspect of his character; whether water skiing, fishing, or scuba diving, he embraced every opportunity to be out on the water. It was often said that his first "vehicle" was a boat, and he would wholeheartedly agree. Teaching others how to water ski was one of his greatest joys, as he loved sharing his passion with anyone willing to give it a try.
A natural-born salesman, Kevin thrived in the fast-paced world of car sales. His high energy and charisma made him a magnetic presence in the dealership, where he formed lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
Kevin's love for animals was just as strong as his love for the water. He shared his home with an array of furry companions, each bearing names that left a lasting impression-sometimes embarrassing-especially when checking in at vet visits. It's no surprise that his wife, Kim, took the lead on naming their two cherished children, Karley and Kannon, sparing them from the creative monikers that Kevin would otherwise come up with.
Above all, Kevin will be remembered as a devoted husband and a loving father. His family was his world, and he poured his heart into every moment spent with them. With a smile that could light up any room and a heart that embraced everyone, Kevin's spirit will live on in all the memories he created and the lives he touched.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kim, their daughter Karley (Paulling) Cerney, son- in-law, Logan Cerney, and son Kannon Paulling, and a host of friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Hamilton Hunt Paulling, II, his mother Evelyn "Evy" Kay McDonald Paulling, and his brother Hamilton Hunt Paulling, III.
In celebration of Kevin's life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 4 PM at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 W. Main Street, Leesburg, Florida, a celebration of life will follow at the Leesburg Boat Club, 31 Dozier Cir, Leesburg, FL 34748 until 9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kevin's honor to a local animal shelter, Cornerstone Hospice or the Education Foundation of Lake County.
