Kiley William Bixler, 52, of New Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born on November 3, 1971, he was the son of Shelby (Sullivan) Kamarer and the late Craig Bixler.
Surviving Kiley is his wife and best friend, Jennifer (Blose) Bixler; children, Lily Kamarer, Bella Bixler and Sophia Bixler; his mother, Shelby Kamarer of New Cumberland; sister, Janelle Browand (Jason) of Lewisberry; half siblings, Jenna Kamarer of Lewisberry and Shea Kamarer of New Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews. He also had a very special place in his heart for the Krebs family.
Kiley was a 1990 graduate of Central Dauphin High School, Harrisburg, and proud to be operating Munchkin Meadow Preschool in Etters, alongside his sister. He recently celebrated 18 years of marriage with his wife. Despite a busy schedule and owning his own business, he made it a priority to be present at family events, including the kids’ sporting events, dance recitals, and scholastic activities. He and his family also attended New Cumberland First Church of God.
He was a member of several social clubs in Steelton, an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling. He loved sports, gambling and had an unforgettable personality. But most importantly, he was dependable and the rock for his family. Being with his wife and kids meant everything to him. He will be truly missed.
Kiley was the life of the party. Let’s celebrate this by gathering on Friday, October 11th from 1pm-4pm at the St. Lawrence Lodge, located at 13 Highland Street, Steelton, PA 17113. While we mourn this loss, the event is designed to celebrate a life well-lived, so please bring your favorite Kiley story or memory.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff of the CTICU unit at Harrisburg Hospital for their care and compassion during Kiley’s final month of life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Kiley’s name to either St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, or to New Cumberland First Church of God, 323 Reno Avenue, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
