Kim Nannette (Colbert) Sease
Kim, also known as Kimmy and Kimmy Bear was born on April 28, 1960, the 3rd child of the late Richard Jr. and Nancy Colbert. She attended Scotland School for Veteran's Children (1968 – 1978), but graduated from William Penn HS, in York Pa, class of 1979. She received an Associate's degree in Accounting. She worked at Wilton Armetale, Blockbuster, and Citibank.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Raymond Sease. Her Children Tanish Powell (Nish), Raymeka Sease (Noopy), Kyla Sease (Dutzie), Sharay Freeland (Ray Ray), and niece and goddaughter Kim Nanette Colbert Powell (Pooder), as well as 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.
She was preceded in death by her brother Richard "Dickie" Colbert III. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by siblings Larry Colbert, Concetta Mitchell, and Aleashia Colbert, Chamberburg, PA, Vanessa Colbert, Harrisburg, and Wayne (Darlean) and Nancy Watkins, of York, Fateshia Loreman (Nathan) of Burnt Cabins, Derrick Jones (Cristina) of Berlin, MD. Her In Laws Mary Brabham, Elaine Starkey (Gerry), Evetta Williams (Willie) of York and 3 aunts, and 1 uncle, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Leka.
Kim was always happy with a smile on her face even when facing difficulties that may have come her way! She loved to shoot pool and loved bowling, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles and shopping. She loved to cook, play bingo, crochet, puzzles, and Disney movies, and MOST SIGNIFICANTLY, Mom Mom loved her grandchildren.
She was a member of John Wesley AME Zion Church, Chambersburg – as a Deaconess she assisted the pastor with communion for the sick and shut-in, she taught vacation bible school, she sang in the choir, she assisted with the buds of promise, and she had her own children's bible study in her home.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 1 PM, at John Wesley AME Zion Church, 155 W, Catherine St, Chambersburg, with Reverand Renata Moseley Harper officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery (Radio Hill) in Chambersburg.
