TOWER CITY- Kim Diane (Artz) Sitlinger. Kim transitioned to her heavenly home on April 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Born March 5, 1947
She was the firstborn of Evelyn and Blair Artz of Hegins, Pennsylvania. Always the big sister, she was the family cheerleader and advice giver and, at age 15, became a sister-nanny and second mom to "the twins." Her closest friend and neighbor, Sandy Romberger, became her "blood-sister" and remained her best friend throughout her life.
Kim's greatest joy was her son Steve Sitlinger of Halifax.
She was employed outside of the home as a seamstress for a local garment factory, a secretary at a Century 21 real estate office, and eventually retired from a clerical position at the PA State Capital in the democratic research office. Many treasured friendships remained and Kim loved to tell stories about her experiences at each.
Kim was creative and artistic (like her mother), learning to sew, cook, and DIY like a pro. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, finding it impossible to walk away from a "good deal!" She had a strong faith, as evidenced by her well-worn bible filled with highlighting and notes throughout. Kim was happiest spending time with her family and friends and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Kim was predeceased by two sisters, Patty Ney and Beth Ann Artz.
She is survived by her son, Steven Sitlinger of Halifax, two brothers, Donnie Artz (Bonnie) of Hegins, PA, and Jeff Artz (Roxane) of Hegins, PA, and a sister, Julie Bannar (Andrew) of New Tripoli, PA. She had many nieces and nephews and loved cheering them on. No doubt there is a joyful, loud, heavenly reunion with all those who went before her. The love Kim gave remains with all those who loved her in return.
A memorial picnic to celebrate the lives of both Kim and Patty will be held at a future date this summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Kim can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at the following link.

It was a pleasure to know and work with Kim. She was always willing to lend a hand and had a joyful personality with a smile.

I was truly blessed to have worked with Kim at the state capital and to have called her my friend. Kim used to tell me stories of growing up and the sayings they had. So to you Kim "I love you more than tongue can tell".
