Kim Robert Tanis, age 76, of Flowery Branch, GA peacefully passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Robin Supper Tanis of Flowery Branch; son, James Robert Tanis (Tabitha) of Brookhaven, GA, daughter, Elisabeth Callahan (Patrick) of Peachtree Corners, GA; grandchildren, Kate, Elliot, Fiona, Keira, Alexandra; brother, Bert Tanis (Julia) of Portage, IN. Born on July 14, 1948 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Robert and Jeannette Tanis. Kim was a retired Sales Manager for InterFlex Laser Engravers. He was respected and well known for his knowledge and contribution to the printing and packaging industry for 55 years. Kim was most proud of his involvement with the development and installation of Georgia's first lottery ticket printing press. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Kim was an active boater on Lake Lanier and he enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He was a devoted and involved father and grandfather and known as "PopPop" to his granddaughters. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6439 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the church where refreshments and memories will be shared. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
