Larry F. Petersen of Logan passed away at Maple Springs of North Logan on July 2nd at the age of 92
Larry was born on October 20, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jesse R. Petersen and Elizabeth Hughes Petersen. He was one of four children. Richard, Keith and Don.
He married Joanne Collett in May 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed in October 1999
Larry was a graduate of South Cache High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Utah State University and his Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Utah.
Larry moved to Washington State where he farmed, raised cattle and was a professor of economics at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake Washington.
Larry is survived by his children Jeff, Spokane, Washington and Jennifer Moyes of Olympia, Washington and granddaughter Courtney also of Olympia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, his parents and brother Richard.
Larry was active his entire life in the LDS church; he served a mission in the New England States and was an officer in the US Army.
Military graveside services will be held on July 9th at noon at the Hyrum City cemetery in Hyrum Utah.
