Larry Pollard, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17 2024, in his beloved hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 20, 1957, Larry filled countless hearts with joy and laughter throughout his life.
Larry was devoted father to his children, Dustin, Lacey, Jon, and Nick, who were not only his pride and joy but also his greatest accomplishments. He reveled in every moment spent with them, sharing his love for baseball and football, which he passionately enjoyed throughout his life. Whether cheering from the stands or engaging in spirited debates about teams and players, his enthusiasm for sports was infectious. Evenings often found him immersed in the timeless tunes of rock n’ roll music, a rhythm that matched his vibrant spirit.
He shared a special bond with his brother, George Pollard, who along with his sister-in-law Brenda, remained a source of strength and comfort. Together, they created lasting memories, reminiscing about their childhood and supporting each other through life's ups and downs.
Larry is also survived by his animals, Blackjack, Milky Way, Sherman and Sammy.
Larry's spirit will continue to resonate deeply with those who knew him, especially his children, who carry forward the lessons of kindness, resilience, and love he instilled in them. He is reunited in eternal rest with his parents, Ruby and John Pollard; his loving dogs, Barney, Maxwell and Scrappy; his cat, Bodidie, as well as his siblings, John Jr. and Judy, who welcomed him with open arms.
The legacy of Larry Pollard is one of unfaltering love, joy, and the deep connections he forged throughout his life. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those he leaves behind, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
