Laura Andring Obituary

Laura Andring, age 67, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home, following a brief cancer diagnosis this fall.
Laura Ann Andring was born October 2, 1957, in Ada, MN, the daughter of Richard and Darleen (Dobmeyer) Andring. She grew up west of Mahnomen, MN, and graduated from Gary High School with the Class of 1975. Following her schooling, Laura entered the workforce. She moved to the Fargo-Moorhead metro and began working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company which later became Quest. After 30+ years of faithful employment, Laura switched it up and began working with her brother, Vince, at the Red Apple Café in Mahnomen for several years cooking and baking. Most recently, she was employed by Hornbacher's Supermarket. Laura liked working in the deli, and her creative nature allowed her to make the most fascinating meat and cheese tray displays. She enjoyed keeping busy so she worked for a time at Widman's Candy Store and was also known to donate her time and talents at the KC Hall in Moorhead, whenever she could.
Laura was very gifted when it came to sewing. She sewed, crocheted and loved to cross stitch. She made many beautiful afghans for family, friends and as donations. When she wasn't sewing, Laura enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with family and her two cats. She also treasured time spent with her brother, Vince, attending MSUM Dragons boys and girls basketball games.
Laura is survived by her parents, Richard and Darleen Andring of Gary; three brothers: Daniel (Elizabeth) of Oswego, NY, Arnold (Barbara) of Crookston, MN, and Vincent of Gary; one sister, Angela Faria of Elk Grove, CA; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Douglas (Amy) of West Fargo, ND, and her two special cats, Tommy and Lander.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; a sister-in-law, Gayle Andring and a nephew, Dennis Faria.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
