Laura Frankie Barnwell, 79 of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away on November 6, 2024. She was born on August 30, 1945 to the late Benjamin Frankin Howard and the late Lola Knight Howard of Cartersville, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Ray Berrong; granddaughter Laura Sponsel; and three brothers and two sisters.
Laura was a longtime member of The Church at Liberty Square.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Barnwell; children Teddy Berrong (Amy), April Svard (Erik), and Alaina Voges; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation in honor of Laura Barnwell. Donations may be made by visiting www.parkinson.org.

Frankie was my sister in law and I'm deeply sorry I didn't know about the funeral. She was the sweetest person you would want to know and loved my oldest son before he passed as one of her own. She will be missed but she has now been joined by my brother and now they are once again together with other family members.
