Laura Rose Harris Obituary

Harris Laura Age 81 Of White Bear Lake Passed away surrounded by her family on November 19th, 2024. Laura lived her life with dignity and kindness. She was tenacious and full of fortitude. Despite being only three years old when her mother died of cancer, she was an amazing mom. She was our grounding and source of strength. She quietly supported Kim and Roger in all they wanted to pursue. She adored her three grandchildren, Aurelia, Jack and Ella. She anxiously awaited the birth of her great granddaughter, Olivia Laura a few weeks ago. Though tiny in stature, she was a giant. She was kind, loving, and generous with both time and treasure. She was 'grandma' to many great nieces and nephews and children she cared for through the years. She always had time to spend with anyone and guide them through whatever they were facing. Even in her dementia, she showed all of us dignity and grace by allowing us to care for her. We are all better people because of her quiet, gentle, encouraging presence. She was always willing to learn and try new things, doing what needed to get done, without complaint. She was a treasure to all and her absence leaves a gaping hole in all our lives. Preceded in death by parents Herman and Aurelia Dickhausen. Survived by children Kim (Rusty) Williams, and Roger (Leea) Harris; grandchildren Aurelia, Jack (Abby), and Ella; great granddaughter Olivia. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, November 22nd at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3878 highland Ave, White Bear Lake at 11:30 AM. Visitation on hour prior to Mass. Burial at St. Michael's cemetery in Bayport, Minnesota following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
