On September 7, 2024, Lawrence "Larry" L. Oleksa, age 93 passed away in Ft. Myers, Florida. Born in Hazleton, PA, Mr. Oleksa had lived in the Downs Farm section of Cherry Hill until retiring to Ft. Myers after his wife's passing. Larry worked for C.H. Robinson for 30+ years as the manager of the Philadelphia office. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, traveling and being with his family. He was a very proud US Navy Veteran.
Lawrence was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary G. (nee Fucillo) as well as his grandson, Lawrence William Oleksa. He is lovingly survived by his two children, Rosemarie (Alex) Baldassarre of Barto, PA and Joseph C. (Margaret) Oleksa of Burkeville, VA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Baldassarre, Mary (Zach) Bechtel and Alexander Baldassarre; his great granddaughter, Emilia Bechtel as well as his brother, Richard Oleksa of Ft. Myers, Fl.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, September 16th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning,, September 17th from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 1816 Haddonfield-Berlin Road (Route 561), Cherry Hill, NJ. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 17th at 11:00 AM at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church, 344 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ. Entombment following at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made In Memory of Lawrence Oleksa to either the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011
