Richter, Leslie Ann (Hosman)
Lansing, Age 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Leslie was born on April 14, 1943, in
Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Hosman. She grew up in
Ravenna, MI, where she graduated from Ravenna High School. Leslie married Richard (Dick) Richter in 1961. They remained married for 41 years until his passing in 2003. Leslie worked in the banking industry for many years before retiring from 5/3 Bank.
She enjoyed roller skating, snowmobiling, camping, traveling, crocheting, making flower arrangements, sewing, baking and cooking, playing cards and doing puzzles. Leslie loved writing poetry and listening to country music, especially George Straight. More than anything she loved spending time and celebrating with her family. Leslie loved collecting angels and was appropriately known as the "angel lady." Leslie was a devout catholic, as a parishioner attending mass at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in
Lansing, Michigan.
Leslie is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Richter; brother, Raymond and his wife Carol Hosman; sister, Beverly and her husband Murl Jobes; sister, Rita Skinner; sister-in-law, Ellie Hosman; brother-in-law, Phillip Richter; nephew, Dale Richter; and niece, Laura Jobes.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Rick) Richter Jr; daughters, Jody (Fred) Chapman, Lisa Richter and Amy (Brian) Richter-Perkins; grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Maceroni, Danielle (Alex) Kloeckner, Tyler (Markie) Richardson, Corey (Antoinette) Richter, Bailey Richter, Akaylia (Kevin) James and Haley Gallimore, great-grandchildren, Alexander Riojas, Chiara Richter, Zekeio Richter, Remington, Barret and Wesson James and Eden and Brielle James; great-great-grandson, Raymond Riojas; brother, Richard Hosman; sister-in-law, Lona Richter and many nieces, nephews and her kitty cat, Angel.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Byers as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Lansing Chapel from 5-8 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM.
