He graduated from Guthrie High School, class of 1967, where he was a member of the high school golf team.
Les served in the United States Navy from 1969 until December 1970. He was employed at Langston University Goat Research for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia of the home in Mulhall, Oklahoma and their three sons, Roland and wife, Jennifer of Mulhall, Tim and wife, Sheila of Morrison, Oklahoma, and Sam and wife, Sheena of Mulhall. Les is also survived by four grandchildren, KayLea and Jace of Mulhall and Ryan and Rebecca of Morrison.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall (Berk Hall) located at 419 North Oak Street, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 424 East Warner, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
