Letitia M. "Tish" Shick, 89, of Shenango Township passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at Northview Estates
Born April 11, 1935 in Possum Hollow, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace McKim Market. She was married to Joseph E. Shick for 29 years until he passed away on May 14, 1991.
Tish graduated from Lincoln High School and was associated with the Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock. She spent her early years as a wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her family. She had several jobs as her children got older, her favorites were being a clerk at the New Wilmington Livestock Auction Barn and the Lawrence County Fair.
Survivors include five daughters: Jenny (Ike) Summerhill of Leechburg, Mary Sue Shick of Mechanicsburg, Janet (Kevin) Kershner of Rigby, ID, Becky (Denny) Faith of Shenango Township, and Frances (Nick) Shick of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, her sister Nancy Frymyer of Ocoee, FL, 3 sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tish enjoyed traveling to visit her daughters and grandchildren. She attended many activities that her children and grandchildren participated in over the years. She spent many years at the Lawrence County Fair with her family, as a spectator, exhibitor and employee. She also enjoyed her cats as well as her grand kitties and grand puppies. She was always telling anyone who would listen about her children, grandchildren, pets and her grand pets. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the Main Street Chapel & Events, 911 Clyde St, Wampum on September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am.
There will be a private interment at Clinton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kibble for Kompanions (k4khelps.org) in Lawrence County or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
