VICTORIA – Linda L. Marcacci, 69, of Victoria, Illinois, formerly of Morton, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at her home. She was born on December 13, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ernest J., Sr. and Darlene (Ohligschlager) Leicht. Linda married Robert Marcacci on April 12, 1975, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Robert of Victoria; children, Michael Sr. (Amy) Marcacci of Peoria and Anna (Matt) French of Congerville; grandchildren, Nicole Martin, Donald Martin, Michael R. Marcacci, Jr., Kara (Kaleb) Ohmer, James Martin, Wyatt (Hayley) French, Madison French, Noah Martinson and Jennifer Mouck; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Ernie (Bernice) Leicht, Cheryl (Joseph) Johnson and Thomas (Cathy) Leicht; brother-in-law, Jon (Donna) Marcacci and sister-in-law, Marlene Marcacci-Ciskowski. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, James Marcacci. Linda graduated from Washington High School in 1972. She received her associates degree from Illinois Central College in 2004. Linda retired from Caterpillar. She was also a seamstress at GB Cleaners. She enjoyed music and being outdoors, especially fishing. Linda loved to travel, but taking a cruise was the ultimate vacation for her. She was a member of New Windsor Sportsman's Club. A visitation and celebration of life service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at The Oaks Community Church, 1868 Congregation Road, Dahinda, IL 61428. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m with Pastor Marty Briney officiating. A visitation and funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 22, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton. Visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with a funeral Mass following at 10 a.m. with Deacon Ed Mallow officiating. Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
