Linda Myers Obituary

Linda Marie Myers, 76, went home to be with Jesus on October 10, 2025. She was born on December 5,1948 to the late Walter and Ruth Syx Gastin. Linda gave her life to Christ at a young age. She became an advanced piano player and met the love of her life and future husband David J Myers while they were students. They married in 1966 and traveled in full-time ministry using their musical gifts in addition to David preaching before beginning pastorates.

Linda was a faithful wife and after her late husband's stroke she became his caregiver for over 20 years. They made their home in Logan Ohio since 1991 where they were members of Logan Church of the Nazarene. Linda worked administratively at several law offices and Tri County Mental Health where she retired. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dog "DJ". In 2022 she moved to Pickerington where she loved attending PickNaz Church.

Linda is survived by two sons, David K. (Janie) Myers of Pickerington, Kevin E. (Polly) Myers of Lancaster. 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great step-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother David (Nancy) Gastin of Shelby; and 4 nephews and their families. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 48 years, Rev. David J Myers, brother Kenneth Gastin, Aunt Margaret Jones.

Funeral service will be held at 11am October 14th at Dwayne Spence Funeral Home in Pickerington Ohio with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Mark Maddux will be officiating with assistance from Pastor Tom Gates. A private burial will take place at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Linda Myers to PickNaz Church or Logan Church of the Nazarene.
