Linda Sue Northington, age 74, of Duchesne, passed away November 13, 2024, at her home, just a couple of weeks after her beloved husband, Richard.
She was born August 5, 1950, in Fairbury, Illinois, to Morris and Shirley Whately Pratt. After her mother died and her father re-married, she was also raised by her step-mother, Judy Wilson Pratt.
Linda met her husband-to-be while serving together in the Utah State Guard, a peace-officers organization. She married Richard Eugene Northington on August 9, 1978. He died October 27, 2024.
Linda worked in the laborer’s union for various factories and industrial sites. In her later years, she competed in dog shows with her Shih Tzu, winning many awards. She had an incredible gift for cooking and took such joy in creating delicious meals. Her love for her two sons and grandchildren was very apparent, as she talked about them often. She was vibrant and kind, and had a gift for gab. She enjoyed animals and had many over the years. She was very much loved and will be deeply missed.
Linda is survived by her son Lloyd Northington (Jessica Clegg), Duchesne; grandchildren, Sierra, Kyler, Grace, Hunter, and Capri; her sisters, Brenda Pratt & Shelle Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her son, Richard John Northington; and her parents.
Linda’s wishes were to be cremated and her cremated remains spread in the ocean.
