Lionel Gray Obituary

MILLERSBURG - Lionel Edward Gray, age 85, of Millersburg, PA passed away peacefully August 29, 2024, at home with his wife by his side, and a dear friend Tammi Burrows.
He was born on March 22, 1939 in Deep Water, WV the son of the late Raymond Edward Gray and Anna Belle (Pickens) Gray.
Lionel was married to Erma (Pritt) Gray for 61 years.
He retired as V.P. Operations from Metal Industries after 22 years of service.
Lionel served his country in the U.S. Army.
In his younger years Lionel enjoyed fishing, hunting, and biking. Currently, his greatest joys were watching videos of his granddaughter Piper swimming, and having his grandson Dillan tell him stories about work.
In addition to his wife Erma, he is survived by sons David of Millersburg, Daniel and his wife Sidney of Millersburg, daughter Connie Gray Kern and her husband Lonn of York, three grandchildren Dillan and Piper of Millersburg, and Amanda Stoner and Michael of Dover, great grandson Miles Allan of Dover, and one sister Sue Duncan and her husband Kenneth of Greenville, NC, and one brother George Gray of Bowling Green, and several nieces and nephews in West Virginia and Virginia.
The family gives a special thank you to his caregivers Sadie, Heather, and Callie, and his hospices nurses from Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024 at Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Millersburg from 10-11:00 AM. Services will be begin at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 13th at 11:00 AM.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
