Lisa Feldman of Ridley Park, PA died peacefully at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania following an acute illness on September 6, 2024. She is survived by her partner of 38 years, Joe Hill, and her brothers, Jerry, Gary, and Jeff Feldman. She leaves behind two nieces, two nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin (Buddy) and Selma (Sunny) Feldman.

Lisa grew up in Havertown, PA and attended Haverford High School, graduating in 1984. She returned to school after some years and graduated Drexel University with a degree in psychology.

Lisa worked for a period at Elwin Institute, where she cared for adolescent women with autism and intellectual disabilities. Over the years, Lisa explored many volunteer opportunities to be in the caretaking and helping fields, maintaining a particular interest in supporting those with autism.

With Joe as her companion, Lisa enjoyed shopping . . . she loved her clothes and amassed quite a wardrobe! . . . dining out . . . she had her favorite restaurants in the area and made friends with all the staff . . . and travel. Lisa was a funny person with an infectious laugh. When her energy was up, it spilled over to those around her. She had many loyal and loving friends and was one in return. She loved her family, showing particular interest in and affection for her nieces and nephews. Over the years, she had a progression of cats she loved deeply.

Lisa will be missed by all who knew her.

She will be buried at Mount Jacob Cemetery in Glenolden, PA.

Both organizations support people and their families touched by autism, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological conditions.
