Funeral Service for Lonnie Clyde Graham "BamBam," 67, of Brownfield, Texas, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lonnie passed peacefully in his sleep on November 9, 2024. He was born in Brownfield to Ronald "Ronnie" Blue and Dona Pearl Graham on January 3, 1957. Lonnie attended WTAMU, where he played football. In '83, he started dating the love of his life, Penny. They were married on January 26, 1985, and later had 3 kids: Cassie, Casey, and Austin, who were his entire world. He worked for 35 years for Windstream, where he retired and then joined the Housley team for the last 15 years.
There was absolutely nothing he loved more than spending time with his family, friends, kids, and grandkids. Whether it was attending their sporting events, stock shows, every school function, or even just in his chair watching football. He also enjoyed weekends at the lake house, relaxing on the porch, listening to music, roasting marshmallows by the fire, or out on the boat, seeing how high he could fling all the kids off the inner tubes.
Lonnie would spend endless hours tending to his grapes, riding around on the tractor or on the four-wheeler. He was someone that everyone who knew him could count on. He was always just a phone call away for his numerous friends and family. Lonnie was an avid lover of motorcycles as well. Together, he and Penny traveled countless miles on their Harley, just chasing the horizon. Isaiah 57:1-2
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Dona, and his brother, Montie Blue. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Penny, their three children; Cassie Cook and husband Jerimy, Casey Graham, Austin Graham and wife Sabra. Eight grandkids; Mckenzi, Morgin, Josh, Jaylyn, Peytin, Jordan, Jensen and Waverly. His sister Sharlann Smothermon and husband Rusty; nieces Ronnette, Audrey, and Andrea; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
