Lorraine Drenth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Starks Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Newell Chapel - Decatur on Sep. 24, 2024.
Lorraine Joyce Drenth, 77, of Lawton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Kalamazoo, MI.
The family will receive guests from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur, Pastor Ross Tarantino officiating. Burial to follow at Harrison Cemetery, Decatur.
Lorraine was born January 8, 1947 in Paw Paw, MI to Duane and Ella (Motyka) Tyler. She married the love of her life, Charles Drenth, on December 4, 1965 in Lawton, MI. They raised two sons together, who were the light of Lorraine's life. During this time, Lorraine returned to school, acquiring an associates degree from Southwest Michigan College. She worked for Dr. McKimmey and Dr. Moussalli for many years before her retirement. Lorraine was a natural caregiver, fueled by her devotion and love of her God. Her family described her as an angel on earth, always giving of herself, never complaining, and showing her love to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Drenth; her sons, John (Shawnalae) Drenth and Calvin (Deborah) Drenth; her grandchildren, Kathy, Taylor, Lucas, Kenneth, Tyler (Ali) and Angeline Drenth; her great grandchildren, Aurora, Ember, Josephine and Lenora; and her sister, Dee (the late Larry) Durbin.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Tyler; and her parents.
