Terre Haute - Louise Kathleen Grindle, 79, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. She was formerly a customer service representative at Columbia House. She was born on December 22, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late William Perkins and Marie Manny Perkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherri (Shane) Allen and Theresa (Jerry) Daugherty, of Rosedale; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Chez) Wolfe, Brittany (Caleb) Jenkins, Kelly Daugherty, and Kyle (Alisha) Daughtery all of Rosedale; nine great grandchildren, Logan, Austin, Kolton, Brody, Blaine, Kyla, Tanner, Max, and Brock; one sister, Nancy (Steve) Nash of Texas, special friends Becky, Alice, and Reda. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Bryan Daughtery and her grandma, Pearl Cadwell.
She was a proud graduate of Garfield High School and a devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She cherished time spent with family, finding joy in simple pleasures like solving puzzles, playing Bunco, reading, and cooking.
Her faith was central to her life, and she looked forward to church each week, especially the lunches with friends afterward. Her beloved cat Bella was her constant companion, and her family meant the world to her.
Visitation for Louise will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 2322 N 13 ½ Street, Terre Haute, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus at 12:00 p.m., with Father Darvin Winters officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
