Lucille Rita Cregg passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 90. She was born on Sunday, March 18, 1934 in Gretna, Louisiana. She was a resident of Albany, Louisiana. Lucille was known for her youthful beauty and the love she had for her many dogs throughout her lifetime.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Cregg; son, Rick VerSoy (Nancy); grandson, Justin VerSoy (Kara); great grandson, Rider; niece, Angele Ruiz Venture (Houston); nephews, Greg Ruiz (Betty) and Jeff Ruiz (Mary); great niece, Jennifer Bruchi (Kris), Stephanie Gibson (Chris), Tiffany Landry (Craig Sr.), Victoria Baay (Stephen), Emily Hewitt (Jack); great nephew, Jeremy Ruiz, Dylan Ruiz, Cole Ruiz; great-great nephew, Craig Landry Jr., whom she called him "My Guy" and loved like a grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and William Gonzales; sister, Irene Gonzales Ruiz; brother-in-law, Carroll Ruiz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, 1300 Pecan Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 12:00 pm.
