Luis Manuel Fortanelli
Luis Fortanelli, 34, of Wharton, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at his residence. He was born on December 6, 1989, in Wharton to the late Agustin and Cinthia Ramirez Fortanelli.
Luis was born and raised in Wharton, TX, where he attended Wharton High School. He spent his adult life with his loving wife, Brook Fortanelli, sharing 10 years filled with love, laughter, and deep companionship. A passionate gamer from a young age, Luis spent countless hours immersed in online gaming, bonding with his closest friends through shared experiences. While he played, Brook would often sit beside him, enjoying her favorite book, a quiet but comforting presence by his side. Over time, Luis passed down his love for gaming to his children and nephew, teaching and encouraging them to play, creating a space for fun, connection, and lasting memories. Music was another cornerstone of Luis’s life. Alongside his brother, he spent many years traveling across Texas to attend live shows, creating unforgettable memories at concerts and performances. This tradition continued with his wife, Brook, as they made live music an important part of their relationship, sharing the joy and energy of music together. These experiences not only deepened their bond but also created a lasting legacy of shared passion for music.
Luis is survived by his wife, Brook Fortanelli; daughter, Liliana; sons, Henry, Oliver, and Cade; sister, Ariana; brothers, Jesus (and wife Ashleye), Agustin (and wife Christina), Arnold "Ray" (and wife Jessica), Oscar "Nasie" (and wife Nicole); and honorary brothers, Taylor, Benny, and Joe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 1 till 5 pm at Wharton Funeral Home.
