Lyndall Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation - Whiteland on Mar. 25, 2026.
Lyndall Keith Johnson was born on July 1, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Robert and Dot Johnson. He was lovingly welcomed into the family by his older sister, Rebecca Johnson (Palmer), and later embraced his role as a big brother to his younger sister, Kim Johnson (Williamson).

Throughout his childhood, Lyndall enjoyed many cherished moments with his family, especially during their time spent at Robber's Cave State Park. There, they made lasting memories staying in cabins, exploring caves, and climbing boulders together. He was blessed to grow up in a home centered on serving God and caring for others, a foundation

that guided him throughout his life.

In 1975, Lyndall graduated from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Following graduation, he began working for Leggett Supply, launching a lifelong career in the RV parts industry. In February 1980, Lyndall began his walk with the Lord and was baptized by Bro. Eddie Tomlinson into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

That same year, he met the love of his life, Melinda Byers. Recognizing a deep and lasting bond, they were united in marriage on September 13, 1980. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with three children: Benjamin Keith, Dustin Kent, and Katie Marie. In 1986, Lyndall felt led by God to move his family to Indiana. In 2005, he was ordained as a deacon at the Indianapolis General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.

Lyndall found great joy in his family, especially in his role as "Papaw." On July 22, 2020, he welcomed his first grandchild, Harper Robinson, fulfilling a lifelong dream. He was overjoyed again with the birth of his second grandchild, Grayson Robinson, on November 2, 2022, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his third grandchild.

He dedicated many years to the RV parts industry and retired from Mt. Comfort RV Sales in 2023. In retirement, Lyndall enjoyed hunting, playing golf, spending time traveling with his wife, continuing to serve God's people, and making memories with his children and

grandchildren.

Lyndall will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his love for his family, and his lifelong commitment to serving others.
