Lyndell Faye DeJarnatt (Skelton) of Cassville passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and close friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025, after a short battle with brain cancer at the age of 82.

Lyndell was born August 5, 1943, in Cassville, Missouri to Junior Warren and Georgia Faye (Dell) Skelton, who precede her in death. Also preceding her in death was her only daughter, Teresa Lynne O'Neill of Cassville, Missouri, one brother, Donald Lee Skelton of Berryville, Arkansas.

She is survived by her best friend and husband of 29 years, James (Jim) DeJarnatt of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Billy Warren Skelton of Butterfield, Missouri; stepson, Nathan DeJarnatt of Puerto Rico; stepson Benjamin DeJarnatt, his wife Anja, their daughters Norah and Zoe of Berlin, Germany.

Additional survivors include a nephew Toby Levi Skelton, his wife Amanda, their children Carson Ledgerwood, Nicholas, Courtney and Cody Skelton of Springfield, Missouri; a nephew Jacob Skelton and his son Eli of Kansas City, Missouri; a nephew Jack Skelton and his wife Joy of Huntsville, Arkansas; three sisters in-law Deborah Skelton of Cassville, Missouri and Tess Elliott and her husband Gary of Cassville, Missouri; and Donna Johnson and her husband Johnny of Stillwell, Oklahoma; and bonus family Dalton Jett, his wife Stormie and their children Cole, Hadlee and Cam Jett of Washburn, Missouri.

In addition to surviving family members, Lyndell had a multitude of dear and lifelong friends.

Jim and Lyndell were united in marriage on March 16, 1996, in Springdale, Arkansas, and a few months ago celebrated 29 spectacular years of wedded bliss, Jim and Lyndell were regulars in the town of Cassville and spent every available moment together with one another making memories that have lasted a lifetime. No matter where they were or what they were doing, they were always having fun and making memories.

Lyndell was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cassville for many years and cherished the bonds and friendships made over the years with her church ladies.

Lynell worked for Walmart from 1981 until her retirement in 2000.

She was an avid lover of all animals but especially cherished her horses over the years. She had many dogs over the years that brought her immense joy and friendship, remaining now are her beloved Rip and Rex.

Her hobbies included attending rodeos, supporting Cassville Wildcats Athletics, rooting for Da-Boyz her Dallas Cowboys and riding in the Walmart big rig with Jim any chance she got.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor James Weaver officiating, a visitation will be held two hours prior.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.

We had many good times at the Sunrise Restaurant. I have lots of good memories of Jim and you. Didn´t know she was gone until I read it I the paper. Love you both! Carless
