Lynn Gunnels Obituary

Being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver, she spent most of her time cooking and caring for her family also attending sports activities. Collecting cookbooks was her passion and Mamaw, as her grandchildren called her, taught each one of them to cook, a skill they still possess.
Lynn is survived by sons, Richard Gunnels and wife, Denise of Lovelady, Jeff Gunnels and wife, Aundie of Cayuga, Chris Gunnels and wife, Stephanie of Crockett; grandchildren, Richard Arlon Gunnels and wife, Rachael of Teague, Case Gunnels of Lovelady, Tanner Gunnels and wife, Angelica of Clayton, NM, Garrett Gunnels and wife, Gabbie of Malakoff, Makayla Lynn Gunnels of Crockett; great-grandchildren, Ridge Gunnels, Haelynn Gunnels, Kambrie Gunnels, Kyler Gunnels.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arlon Gunnels; parents, Clyde and Dine Rains; sister, Jean Allee; brother, Bobby Rains.
Funeral services for Lynn Gunnels will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Bob Gunnels and Pastor Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michelle Lynn Holsey Foundation.
