Lynnette L. Bourrette, 67, of Hanover, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Midwest Medical Center Nursing Home in Galena, IL.
Lynn was born on December 11, 1957, in Chappell, NE, the daughter of Burton and Florence (Kintz) Sherich. In 1965, the Sherich family relocated to Hanover when Burt transferred to the Savanna Army Depot. Lynn was a dedicated and hardworking individual who pursued higher education twice, eventually earning her medical assistant certification. She spent many years working at Eaton Corp, managing payroll and office tasks. Later, she transitioned into healthcare, working in pediatrics in Freeport, IL.
Beyond her professional life, Lynn found joy in her flower garden, where she nurtured beauty with patience and love. She had a deep passion for sewing, creating clothing for her granddaughters and even for her cherished little dog, Stella. A skilled photographer, she captured countless memories through her lens and enjoyed peaceful walks with family and friends. While a private person, Lynn's love for her family was boundless.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Craig Bourrette of Hanover, her daughter, Dana (Anthony) Rowe of Stockton, IL, her five grandchildren, Gabby Bourrette, Ella Bourrette, Ryder Robledo, Kendra Robledo, and Caitlynn Robledo; her mother, Florence Sherich of Hanover; and her three siblings, Tim (Lori Steele) Sherich of Mt. Carroll, IL, Susan (Gene) Roberts of Hanover, and Sandra (Mike) Wild of Galena. She also leaves behind her devoted companion, Stella. Lynnette was preceded in death by her father, Burton Sherich.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a local animal rescue in Lynnette's honor.
