Marcia P. Lane, age 92 passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at Diversicare in Eupora, MS. Marcia was born on February 20, 1932, to Milton Shepard Patrick and Marguerite Brown Smith Patrick in Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. Lane was an accomplished actress with roles in several films and also an advocate for animals where she was instrumental in establishing the Rocky Lane Pets in Need Fund at Mississippi State University. She is survived by her three daughters, Allison Lane, Los Angeles, CA; Adrianne Lane, Poway, CA and Andrea (Brad Strumpf) Lane, Johns Creek, GA; one son, Patrick (Susie) Lane, Dunwoody, GA; a very special friend and caregiver, Tori Russell, Columbus, MS; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton Shepard Patrick and Marguerite Brown Smith Patrick and one son-in-law, Jim Baca. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Marcia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be made to the Rocky Lane Pets in Need Fund at Mississippi State University. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements for the Lane family.
