Mrs. Margaret Bailey, age 80 of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Calvert City Convalescent Center. She was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter and volunteered with the National Quilt Show. She was the co-owner of Bailey Wrecker Service, worked at Calvert City Car Wash, and was also a homemaker.
Born Saturday, January 15, 1944 in Marshall County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Paul Lee and the late Lenna Mae (Solomon) Lee.
Surviving are sons, Irvin Lee Bailey Jr. (Terri) of Calvert City, KY and Mark Alan Bailey (Tammy) of Calvert City, KY, sister, Carolyn Herron of Paducah, KY, grandchildren, Josh Bailey, Travor Bailey, Sherry Mangrum, Jonathan Bailey, Jeffrey Bailey, Amanda Bailey, and great-grandchildren, Nate Bailey, Sam Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Lindsey Bailey, William Bailey, Hudson Bailey, Bryleigh Schearer, Reese Schearer, and Chase Mangrum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irvin Lee Bailey, son, Paul Bailey, and sisters, Mary Helen Williams and Betty Teasley.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. David Elliott and Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Paducah, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
