Mrs. Margaret Jeanette Miller, 80, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 6, 2025 at her home. She was born January 30, 1945 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Carl Samuel Whitten and Effie Blankenship Whitten Davis.

Margaret was a former seamstress with Ficks-Reed Furniture Company and believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, tending plants and collecting bells.

In January 1963, she united in marriage with William S. Miller, who preceded her in death, and to this union three children were born.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. and James F. Whitten and a son-in-law, Johnnie R. Mills.

Survivors include her loving children, Thomas G. Miller of West Palm Beach, FL, Steven Lewis Miller of Corbin and Lisa Miller Mills of London; a sister, Katherine J. Schwarz and husband, David, of Mears, MI; a brother, George S. Whitten and wife, Kristy, of Mears, MI; cherished grandchildren, Jacob W. Liford, Colby Miller, Moriah Lee, Joseph Lee and Dylan Clos; caregiver, Hailey Perry; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, August 11 at 12 Noon with her family officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

The family wishes to thank The Heritage and VNA Hospice for the excellent care given to Margaret.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
