Margaret Wong Obituary

Margaret Wong, age 73, of Jackson died Saturday October 26, 2024. Visitation will be Friday evening at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and again Saturday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. A celebration of life funeral service will be at 2:00pm in the Natchez Trace Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Craig Dong, Blake Wong, Adam Wong, Evan Wong, Andy Wong, and Kevin Hsu.
Margaret was born March 12, 1951, in Drew, Mississippi and was the daughter of Suey Chong Wong and Yuen Kaai Hoi Wong who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Catharyn Jean Wong of Jackson, MS; brothers, Wilson Wong (Lyn) of Atlanta, GA., Jackson Wong (Bettie Mae) of Jackson, MS, and Jefferson Wong (Karen) of Madison, MS ; 5 nieces, Stacey Hsu (Kevin), Jessica LoPilato (Matt), Kristen Wong, Kourtney Wong, and Keri Wong; 1 great nephew, Jackson Hsu; 3 great nieces, Emilia LoPilato, Ansley Hsu, and Ava LoPilato.
She graduated Salutatorian from Drew High School in 1969 and in 1972 she graduated from the University of Mississippi where she earned a BBA. She then enrolled at Mississippi College where she earned her master's in accounting. Margaret was employed as an auditor for the General Accounting Office and Federal Highway Administration, CPA with Boleware, Goddard, and Henderson, VP of Finance for Lindsay Wire and retired as VP of Finance for On Site Fuel Services.
She loved to travel and in June 2024, she voyaged with her immediate family on her 29th cruise. When home, she enjoyed gardening and watching television westerns.
