Marion Frances Seymour Brown, 83, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 in Winterville, GA.
She was born in Pascagoula, Miss on March 24, 1942, she and her family later moved to Carlton, Georgia. She was a 1961 graduate of Madison County High School and retired as Deputy Clerk from Madison County Probate Court.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Sewell Lawrence Seymour and Annie Sue Belin Seymour, her husband, Wayne Adams Brown, and brother, Larry Seymour.
Graveside services will be Monday September 22, 2025 1:30 PM at Comer cemetery with Pastor Cameron Adkins officiating. The visitation is Monday at the funeral home, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The interment will be in Comer cemetery.
Surviving are her children: Lari Scarborough, Colbert, GA; Freda (Jeff) Atkinson, Watkinsville, GA; and David (Kasie) Brown, of Colbert, of Crawford, GA. Her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Memaw”: Ethan (Emily) Scarborough, Buford, GA; Jacob (Tehra) Scarborough, Hull, GA; Travis Atkinson, Watkinsville, GA; and Eli Brown of Crawford, GA. Two Precious great-grandchildren: Nora Scarborough and Dawson Scarborough.
Flowers are accepted and donations may be made in her memory to Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter or the Family Hospice Foundation.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Family Hospice and Avery Village Assisted Living in Winterville, GA., all of whom took such good care of her in her final days; and a special thank you to all her friends who took the time to call, send cards, and visit her. You all meant so much to her and she loved you very much.
