Mark Jones Obituary

Mark Eugene Jones, 68, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at home in Norman, Indiana, after a brief illness. He was born in Seymour on July 10, 1956, to Harold T. and Virginia (Reynolds) Jones.
After graduating from Brownstown High School, Mark had a long career in carpentry, retiring from Schafstall Incorporated after 22 years. But Mark was not one to sit still for very long, even after retirement. He loved building things, cutting firewood, and tending to his vegetable garden every year. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed relaxing at the casinos, especially in French Lick. Mark is remembered as a fun person to be around and share a beer with. He was a kind and generous man, always there to help no matter what was needed, a good man who would do anything for anyone.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Brenda (Moore) Jones; his mother, Virginia (Reynolds) Jones; three sons; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol (Bruce Worland) Jones and Jan (David) England.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold T. Jones; an infant son; and one grandchild.
