Martin Callahan was born on September 16, 1937 in West Springfield, Pennsylvania to Alton and Rebecca Callahan. Martin served in the U. S. Navy Band for eight years, graduated from the University of Maryland and was employed by NASA for 30+ years. He belonged to the Big Timber Lions Club and loved Montana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Rebecca Callahan and brother-in-law Phil Hood.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dianne, daughter Vicki Dedrickson (Alex), grand-daughters Alexis Frick (Kyle) and Brittany Barnett (Ryan), great grand-children Dawson, Andrew, Winston, Remy and Avery, his brother John Callahan (Sandi), nieces Kathleen Fortenberry (Russ), Aileen Green (Mel), Marleen Thelen (Michael), Colleen Callahan, Alexis Jennelle (Mike) and nephew Sean Callahan (Taylor), his sister Barbara Hood and niece Cindy Plath.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Wednesday November 29th at Stenberg Funeral Home and interment with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Grand.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Martins name may be made to the Salvation Army
