Marvin Carpenter Obituary

Marvin Verele Carpenter, Jr. "Mo", 57 of Morgantown, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at his residence. Mo was born on June 21, 1967, the son of Kathy (Helmick) Warash and the late Marvin V. Carpenter, Sr.
Mo loved to fish, go antiquing, all things WVU, drag racing and to read J.R.R. Tolkien and Star Trek novels. He enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and drums. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathy Warash; sons Andrew Carpenter and Tyrus Higgins; daughters Harmony Mafield (Shane) and Amali Higgins; grandchildren Brenalin and Styles; Holly Higgins mother of Tyrus and Amali; Chrissy Cox; brothers Jeff Carpenter (Carol) Marc Carpenter (Terry); sisters Krystal Byrne (Chris), Heather Awbrey (Brent) and beloved friends Mel Bunner and Nick Raschella.
Mo was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Carpenter, Sr. and son Corey Nicholas Carpenter.
As a tribute to Mo the family asks that everyone wear WVU attire on Friday to honor his love of ALL things Mountaineers.
Family and friends can gather at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm. Pastor Chris Byrne will be officiating the service.
